Evie Networks, in partnership with ActewAGL, has today been announced as a successful proponent in the ACT Government’s competitive tender process to expand and upgrade public charging for EV drivers across the ACT.
The new charging stations will provide an additional 35 publicly accessible EV charging stations, incorporating 70 charging points across Canberra.
Locations for new EV charging stations include Civic, Braddon, Jamison, Erindale, Belconnen, Woden, Tuggeranong, Amaroo, Barton, Majura, Casey and Weston Creek, with the first additional site to go live during October 2022.
The EV charging network will include several fast chargers which can get vehicles back on the road in minutes—adding a range of up to 50km with a mere 10-minute charge.
Existing EV charging stations in Civic, New Acton, Dickson and Manuka are also being upgraded as part of the expansion program.

The expansion and upgrade to the ACT’s public EV charging network follows ActewAGL’s introduction of a range of other transport electrification products and services, including services to help customers find, finance and charge electric vehicles, with more information available through our evHub site.
