ENERGY BILL
Do your washing
at night to save
with off-peak times.
If you are on a time-of-use energy plan, using your washing machine at night, outside of peak hours, can result in substantial savings on your energy bill.
It is important to know when off-peak times are so that you can take advantage of lower electricity rates. In the ACT, off-peak times are before 7am, between 9am–5pm, or after 8pm. In NSW, aim to run washing machine cycles outside of 5pm-8pm on weekdays.
To maximise savings, ensure that you have a full load when you run a washing cycle. Doing this helps to minimise water and energy waste, making your laundry routine more eco-friendly and cost-effective.
